Just an update on our business for sale to all of you that have expressed interest.
We love you guys, our customers, and want to stay completely transparent so that you know we’re not going to take this process lightly and just sell out.
Our goal is to pass the company on to someone who’s going to honor the vision of what my dad built here and take care of our customers. Best case scenario for us would be if one of our customers wanted to buy the business.
We had a contract presented this week, but it fell through when the prospective buyer refused to negotiate on ANY of the points in the contract. We’d really hoped this was the one, because he seemed like he had a good plan for the future of our business at first.
But then it came away feeling like he wanted us to carry 100% of the risk while he used the business to launch a different business. I don’t really know, though, because he balked when I started asking questions. We just didn’t feel comfortable that he was going to be the best fit for our customers.
With that said, we are still for sale.
Seller financing is certainly an option if that’s something you need to look into.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
I just analyzed our income numbers for this year, and we’re on track to do better than last year’s numbers, DESPITE all the hiccups in the supply chain and lumber pricing this year.
